RESC SDE CT Evaluation: Culturally Sustaining Leadership: Leveraging Evaluation to Foster Inclusion
This interactive, full-day workshop empowers educational leaders with the knowledge and strategies to embed culturally sustaining practices in their schools. Participants will explore the critical role of cultural sustainability in supporting students' learning outcomes and discover professional practices that reflect these values in both teaching and leadership. Through alignment with educator and leader evaluation processes, attendees will learn to provide meaningful, actionable feedback that fosters inclusivity and belonging in classrooms and across the school community. Join us in shaping a more equitable and supportive learning environment for all students.
Objectives (appears on the evaluation form):
Participants will: Understand the importance of culturally sustaining practices in the classroom and the impact on student learning; Identify professional practices that demonstrate culturally sustaining educator and leader practices; Align culturally sustaining practices with the educator and leader evaluation and support process; Develop strategies to provide meaningful feedback to increase inclusivity in the school and learning environment.
