Restorative Practices Affinity Group for Educators

Building a community is the foundation for restorative practices. With this understanding in mind, the Restorative Practices Affinity Group for Educators is an opportunity for a network of educators to build their collective efficacy in the implementation of restorative practices in their classrooms. With the support of an IIRP certified facilitator, the Restorative Practices Affinity Group for Educators will allow participants to come together to learn, share experiences, and support one another in the implementation of restorative practices in their classrooms.

Objectives

Participants will:

Gain knowledge of restorative practices and its main principles
Understand how restorative practices works to prevent issues before they arise
Learn practical strategies and techniques for implementing restorative practices
Engage in ongoing reflection on their implementation of restorative practices and identify areas of success and growth
Engage in a community of practice where they can share experiences, seek advice, and celebrate the successes related to restorative practices in the classroom
