Empowering Literacy for Multilingual Learners: Evidence-Based Strategies for Success: Session 1: Understanding the Literacy Needs of Multilingual Learners
In this session, participants will explore the foundational principles of literacy instruction for multilingual learners, including the critical role of oral language in literacy development. Through case studies, collaborative discussions, and hands-on tasks, teachers will learn to build individualized literacy goals for MLs and gain an understanding of the impact of language acquisition stages on literacy skills.
