LEARN & EastCONN Multilingual Learner Roundtable   
Join us for our quarterly Multilingual Learner Roundtable Meeting where we will receive important updates from Megan Alubicki Flick, the English Learner Consultant at the Connecticut State Department of Education. The Performance Office Team will also provide updates on summative assessment administration and data collection.This meeting is a valuable opportunity for informal networking on a variety of crucial topics including Students with Limited or Interrupted Formal Education (SLIFE), Newcomers, Accommodations, Effective Practices, Secondary Literacy, service model development, and much more. We will also address any other topics requested by attendees. Occasionally, we will have guest speakers from the TESOL field, as well as representatives from publishing companies and other educational product providers.All Multilingual Learner leaders are encouraged to attend these meetings to stay connected with colleagues across the state, remain informed about current legislation, and share ideas, seek advice, and find solutions to the challenges we face daily in our roles. TEAM Initial Support Teacher Training, 2024-2025 Series 6   
Initial Support Teacher Training prepares candidates who have been selected and approved by their districts to serve in the role of mentor to beginning teachers or cooperating teacher to student teachers. The training includes three, two-hour synchronous sessions as well as three, two-hour asynchronous sessions of pre-work learning. Participants must commit to completing all parts of the training to be eligible to serve as a support teacher. Introduction to Multilingual Learners
