Supporting Multilingual Learners in Preschool and Kindergarten Settings
In this two-part series, participants will merge understanding of typical monolingual language development in early childhood with that of multilingual peers. Through this lens, participants will learn strategies to support multilingual students in early childhood school settings and consider effective assessment methods to track multilingual student progress. Key factors to explore when considering referral and assessment of a young multilingual learner through Child Find will be explored.
