This training will address what ethics are and their role in peer recovery support. This training will explore the importance of boundaries and boundary management extensively and the need for continuous monitoring of boundaries. The training will explore adverse outcomes as a result of poor ethical guidelines and boundary management. Additionally, this training will discuss HIPPA and 42CFR part two regarding confidentialit

Who is this training for?
This training is designed for individuals that are looking to begin their journey as a certified peer recovery support specialist or peer recovery coach in the substance use field. Or, for those who are looking to learn how to better engage with those who suffer from Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Participants often include family members, law enforcement, first responders’, social workers, community partners, policymakers, CASAs or GALs, or anyone that has been affected by or from SUD.

You are registered for the Ethical Foundations for Peers, July 15, 16, & 17, 2025. July 15 & 16 is from 9 am - 4:30 pm (EST) and July 17 1/2 day 9am -1:00pm (EST) .

You must attend all days/dates to receive your certificate of completion-no exception.

To ensure that you receive the full experience of this training:

Please establish an environment that is distraction-free, as much as humanly possible. Folding clothes, washing dishes, or driving are not conducive to learning.

Attendance and video presence for the entire session is mandatory, and your camera must be on. No exceptions.

Signing on to zoom 10 minutes prior to the start time will help us to be respectful of everyone’s time so that we can begin promptly.

Manual

You will receive a copy of the Ethical Foundations manual approximately one week prior to the start date. If you do not, please reach out to us immediately.

Rules and Guidelines:

· In order to receive credit for this training you will need to have access to a webcam. The webcam must be on for the entire duration of the presentation (aside from breaks and lunch.)
