Bridging Pre-K and Kindergarten Practices Symposium
Description
The Bridging Pre-K and Kindergarten Practices Symposium brings together preschool and kindergarten educators, support staff, and administrators. Together, we will discuss developmentally appropriate teaching methods within districts and across communities. Explore play as a learning tool and discover keys to helping young students move smoothly from preschool into kindergarten classrooms. Objectives
1) Participants will identify and discuss developmentally appropriate teaching strategies that can be implemented in both preschool and kindergarten classrooms to support a smooth transition for young learners. 2) Attendees will explore the importance of play as a learning tool and develop a deeper understanding of how to effectively incorporate play-based learning activities into the curriculum to foster student engagement and skill development. 3) Educators will collaborate with their peers to create a list of best practices for promoting equity and inclusivity in early childhood education settings, ensuring that all children have access to high-quality learning experiences that meet their individual needs and support their overall growth and development.
