Feedback & the Continuous Learning Process in Educator Evaluation

“CT Guidelines for Educator and Leader Evaluation and Support 2023” brought both technical and adaptive change into the evaluation and support system across Connecticut. For the past ten years, leaders have been challenged to provide effective written and verbal feedback on the visible in the classroom setting. The latest adaptive changes move toward implementing continuous learning cycles – calling for a much different type of feedback and a process to provide it to educators. This professional learning series will provide leaders with an understanding of how to create and provide feedback under the new CT Guidelines to support the Continuous Learning Process.

Goals (appears on the evaluation form):
Participants will: Learn key tenets of adult learning theory related to feedback; Analyze learning cycles and types of feedback to support educator continuous learning; and Create feedback that will support the ongoing learning of an educator.
