The COS-KC has a free, online, open-book assessment with 30 multiple-choice items. It was developed by the Center for IDEA Early Childhood Data Systems (DaSy) and the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) and is being used nationally.
Objectives (appears on the evaluation form):
Practitioner knowledge of the COS process is a key component of child outcomes data quality. The COS-KC gives us a validated way to check practitioner knowledge of the COS process once they complete the assessment. COS-KC results will show us where to target professional development so that our state has high-quality outcomes data that can be used for program improvement.
