Job Coaching for Secondary Transition
In this engaging workshop, educators/paraeducators/job coaches, and support staff will gain knowledge and learn the strategies needed to guide transition-aged students toward meaningful employment and lifelong success. The workshop will provide participants with actionable tools and effective, individualized supports to successfully assist students on the job and with their transition from education to employment.

Learning Goals:
Explain the roles and responsibilities of a job coach, highlighting their essential contribution to fostering student success in the workplace.
Analyze the effective behavior management strategies tailored for working with students in diverse community-based environments.
Strategize ways to strengthen students' work-related competencies across diverse real-world settings using a continuum of supports (natural supports, accommodations, modifications).
Examine and apply structured methods for documenting student progress, utilizing data collection practices to evaluate and interpret growth effectively.
Develop and assess evidence-based strategies to design and improve collaborative methods that effectively monitor, evaluate, and enhance student progress toward achieving their objectives.
