Plainville Launches EzTraxx Online Using Unique Approach
|
June 17, 2005
Plainville, CT - Plainville Public Schools launched EzTraxx Online to its staff in an
aggressive implementation plan developed and customized for the District this week.
Implementation began with ProTraxx facilitating a brainstorming session that included
a team of key professional development staff members, instructional leaders, support
staff, and the technical team led by Technology Director, John Laskarzewski.
The District chose to introduce the solution to its 300+ employees with purposeful
enrollment objectives related to August inservice days. Their unique approach proved
highly successful for all involved in the process, and may be a consideration for
other districts developing plans. Following a three-hour morning training session
on Monday, the team spent the afternoon utilizing their newly acquired skills to
populate the database with activities being offered to the staff for the first
professional development day of the new school year. CEU Coordinator, Julie
Marshall approved the proposed activities and opened them for enrollment,
making them available through the MyEzTraxx site. Remaining employees
familiarized themselves with limited functionality of the application
later in the week in an open lab session at each of the schools, quickly
mastering logging in and accessing their individual account and enrolling
in appropriate activities. The District’s teamwork resulted in one of the fastest,
most successful rollouts ProTraxx has witnessed.
