Bonnie Orzechowski, PowerUser of Summer 2004
|
ProTraxx has chosen Bonnie Orzechowski of the Windsor Public Schools as the PowerUser
to profile this summer.
Bonnie has been employed by the Windsor Public Schools for the past 14 ½ years
currently serves as the Secretary to the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
Bonnie’s responsibilities focus on curriculum development, evaluations, State
reporting requirements, and course reimbursement for staff. In addition,
she manages the tasks associated with planning and delivering effective
professional development through the three in-service days, as well as
numerous additional opportunities which arise throughout the year both
inside and outside of the district. With a staff of approximately 750
in their seven schools, Bonnie estimates that she produces over 2,000
CEU Certificates each year. Taking advantage of PowerUser programs has
provided the extra effort needed to ensure optimal results with the
ProTraxx applications she was using, including CEU EzTraxx, EzQuery and EzImport.
Late last year, ProTraxx was excited to learn that Windsor would serve
as one of our three beta sites for the release of our new online solution,
EzTraxx Online. Having worked with Bonnie for almost four years, we knew
this new relationship would provide a great opportunity for all of us.
The support of Assistant Superintendent, Carol MacMullen and Technology
Director, Jan Lang contributed to the ideal environment for streamlined
communication and feedback that would ensure customer satisfaction and product success.
Transitioning to a new solution may seem overwhelming, but taking a phased
roll-out approach allowed Bonnie to explore many of the features of EzTraxx
Online prior to releasing access to the schools. In addition, the application’s
Help features put assistance a few clicks or a phone call away. When asked about
the support she has received Bonnie replied “top notch and always ready to help . . . [ProTraxx] listens to my
suggestions . . . I would recommend the product and have done so.” Interactions between the Windsor
and ProTraxx staffs have led to the creation of several features that streamline the application and
improve data entry and retrieval time. Among those new features is one of Bonnie’s favorites -
navigation which allows you to quickly move from one screen to another when completing a professional
development activity from start to finish in one session.
Bonnie has attended PowerUser programs in the past and hopes to continue with the new sessions that
are being planned specifically for online users, realizing the benefits of continued learning.
We continue to value the relationship we have fostered with Bonnie and the entire staff of the
Windsor Public Schools and look forward to providing many years of service.
Bonnie will receive a gift certificate for $75 for Filenes Department Stores.
To be considered for profile in our newsletter, simply attend one of our PowerUsers sessions.
